With great regret, we have had to cancel our sales to North America and elsewhere in the world* unless they choose Express delivery at checkout. UK and European orders remain unchanged.
We have not taken this decision lightly. Many of our North American customers have been unhappy with our service – thanks to Royal Mail.
Prior to Christmas, the Royal Mail’s workers took a series of strike actions, which resulted in many of our overseas orders – not just to North America – being delayed or lost. Then in early January Royal Mail was hit by a cyberattack. The result: more lost orders and some not arriving in good time. It took until February 21 before full service was resumed. As of yet we have no idea how this will impact our orders, and whether there are still delays in the system.
As a small business, we cannot sustain the losses we have incurred.
We will, of course, honour any orders we receive in the meantime. But as of Monday, March 13, we will stop all orders. Any caught up in the switchover will be refunded.
Assuming we hear good reports about Royal Mail in the meantime, we may return to normal service in three months’ time. Watch this space.
